Do you love to volunteer and appreciate a good work out? Then I have the job for you!
Nativity House is looking for volunteers to help greet donors and unload donations. This role involves some lifting (40 lbs. or less) and chairs are available to sit down when donations slow. We're looking for folks who are friendly and good with people.
Additional donation intake hours could be offered depending on volunteer availability. The goal is to cover our current donation days (Tuesdays & Thursdays) and eventually start offering additional donation times.
This opportunity is best suited for 1-2 people or volunteer groups that can rotate coverage (each volunteer takes 1-2 days per month or more if they want to).
Volunteers would be stationed at the Tahoma Family Center loading dock which is located right next to the Nativity House Shelter and on the same campus as St. Leo's Parish.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. PPE is provided and currently required for volunteers.

Description
Volunteer Services provides low-income adults (anyone 18 years old or older) who have temporary or permanent functional disabilities, including those associated with aging. The people we serve can not afford to purchase the kinds of service we provide, do not qualify for assistance from other sources and do not have family or friends available to help them.
