Covid restrictions mean that cancer patients are receiving infusions without the support of their loved ones. They need the comfort of a friendly face, warm smile, and light chit chat to go along with their warm blanket and pillow.

You can make someone’s journey a little less stressful by volunteering to provide support at the Florida Cancer Foundation’s Davenport office.

In addition to helping support the patients you will also help the staff by assisting with restocking, wiping down chairs and escorting patients.

Wednesdays Noon - 3 p.m.

Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
