Currently, we need to paint many of the houses, improve the roofing on a new of the houses, remove mold, best open more windows for better ventilation and we hope to eventually install gutters that will allow us to save and reuse rainwater. Finally, our backyard opens up to a small mangrove forest that we are protecting and restoring and we hope to build an outdoor deck and platform to brings groups of students into the mangroves as part of our environmental education and mangrove restoration projects. We also want to put up many signs all around the entire forest so that people realize it is a permanently protected area (APP) that is actually illegal to cut down and destroy.

  • Basic Portuguese recommended

We can offer ongoing support and supervision and can help organize taxi pickups, local accommodations and even Capoeira or Portuguese classes.
