Volunteers Needed for Jam on Walnut

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Animal Friends Inc

The most anticipated block party of the summer is back for 2022! Jam on Walnut is an outdoor concert series benefiting Animal Friends and our lifesaving work. Last year, Jam on Walnut raised over $50,000 to support Animal Friends, but we need your help to make this year a success! To maximize the fundraising potential of this event and to run as efficiently as possible we need 40 staff and volunteers to participate.

Please, if you’re considering participating, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinators at If you have friends or family who would be interested in helping out in a fun way, please have them reach out to Tessa directly at This is also a great opportunity for anyone from the public (including non-Animal Friends volunteers) to make a difference and volunteer with Animal Friends. Jam on Walnut promises to be a lively evening with good music, great company and, most importantly, LOTS of lifesaving funds raised in support of the life-changing work that takes place at Animal Friends each and every day.

The jobs we are looking to fill include:

  • Beer Pourer
Pour beer from the taps or White Claws from the cans into the designated cups and hand it to the volunteer serving the beer to give to the purchaser.
  • Server/ID Check
Verify that the purchaser has a wrist band declaring they are 21+, if no wristband, check ID and place a wristband on the guest. Responsible for processing payment as well.
  • Credit Card Processer
Responsible for running any credit card transactions
  • Runner
Responsible for miscellaneous tasks (changing trash, stocking supplies, et.)

Thank you all for considering assisting us with this crucial and lifesaving event!
