Kindred strives to provide comfort, compassion, dignity, and peace to terminally ill patients and their families through a holistic approach to physical, spiritual, and emotional care by professionally trained hospice teams and specialized community resources. We are interviewing interns to be a part of our team. The interns role in hospice care will include patient/family and/or administrative support. Interns can provide direct support in the patient’s home or a nursing facility with the purpose of companionship and/or caregiver relief. Other fun activities would include assisting with veteran pinning ceremonies, celebrating special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Interns would also assist with administrative tasks including office filing, assisting with mailings, answering the phone, and helping to set up for our grief and bereavement monthly support groups. The internship opportunities are unpaid although there will be a great deal of experience learned.
