Volunteer your time and skills to support Foster City Library's community activities and programming!
Friends of the Foster City Library (FoFCL) are seeking volunteers with web development, site management, UX or digital content experience to own the administration and management of the FoFCL website. We are searching for a someone who has at least one year of professional experience in the subject area to spend about 2-3 hours per month working with the FoFCL board.
Website Manager role:
- Make updates to FoFCL website (built on Weebly)
- Implement site feature enhancements
- Implement improvements to site design, strategy and operations
- Contribute to/support other FoFCL activities (ex. social media planning, fundraising support, etc.)
Whether you're passionate about libraries, want to give back to your community, looking to build your portfolio or flex your existing skills, volunteering with FoFCL is a great way to do so. Long-term volunteers have the opportunity to become FoFCL Board members.
For volunteers we ask for:
- Minimum term of one year (we are prioritizing volunteers with long-term commitment)
- Registration as a volunteer with San Mateo County
- Being/becoming a member of the Friends of the Foster City Library
- If a board member, attendance at monthly FoFCL 6pm meetings
