Help Raise Funding for African Diaspora Youth Programs.... Fund Development Manager

ORGANIZATION: National African Student Association

This role will be responsible in supporting the Fundraising/Development Director in the coordinating the tasks below. Learn more about us below or on our website.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist fundraising/development director with tasks as needed
  • Research/meet with potential donors
  • Assist with upkeep of donor database
  • Create and distribute monthly donor newsletter
  • Apply for grants

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience
  • Be an undergraduate/graduate student, or hold Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong organization and administrative skills

Expectations: 10 - 20 hrs a week

About NAFSA:

The National African Student Association (NAFSA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit association founded by a group of passionate individuals who believe, like many, that anyone can make a positive impact on the African continent. Their main objective is to ensure that the young African generation studying abroad can receive the necessary resources and connections to easily succeed academically and professionally. This would then make it easier for them to help the African continent and its diaspora community advance economically, culturally, and socially.

NAFSA’s leadership structure is made up of professionals serving on the Board of Directors on four-year terms and student leaders serving on the National Executive Board on an annual basis. All our team members volunteer their time and expertise to help make a positive impact on the futures of our members and their communities.
