Description: Volunteers provide information, support, & comfort to families when loved ones are in procedure. Volunteers maintain a list of family members in order to facilitate staff and physicians finding family members
Qualifications: Volunteers should be self-motivated, engaged, friendly, and comfortable talking to patients/visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet families in waiting area
- Monitor desk in the Surgery Waiting Room and be a resource for individuals
waiting - Help families navigate within and outside of the hospital
- Notify families of updates
- Answer desk phone
- Connect surgeons to families
- May help with other projects when needed
2 Shifts
- 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- afternoon / 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM
