Job summary

The Event Planner role is responsible for event planning, design, and production of many events within the company including but not limited to meetings, workshops, book launches, forums, conferences, seminars, summits, and customer social events. The Event Planner coordinates all aspects including location, services, participants, registrants, etc. This position requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented, service-focused individual who can work autonomously to deliver a great brand experience that fits with our mission and objectives.

Responsibilities

Event planning, design, and production while managing project delivery within timeframes

Liaison between vendors and the corporate office

Propose ideas on how to improve services and the quality of each event

Organize facilities and manage all event details, such as location, speaker, invitee list, special guests, etc.

Specify volunteer requirements and coordinate their activities

Work with the Marketing Team members to promote and publicize events

Handle all issues and troubleshoot any problems during the planning and on event day

Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations and report on outcomes

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Management, or Event Planning

Strong understanding of the different aspects of event planning, including logistics, marketing, scheduling

Strong written, oral communication, and research skills

Strong time management and organizational skills

Ability to give clear instructions and motivate the Event Team to deliver results

Proven ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

Experience working in a Corporate Marketing or PR Department
