Join us in fighting food insecurity in our community! Feed More’s Meals on Wheels Program helps keep homebound individuals independent and in their own homes by providing fresh, diet-specific, made-from-scratch meals. This is all made possible through the utilization of the volunteers’ own personal vehicles and the network of nearly 300 serving agencies throughout Central Virginia.

What to expect:

Drivers arrive at one of our distribution sites to pick up prepackaged meals. They then deliver to our neighbors in need along predetermined routes. Routes take no longer than two hours.

Responsibilities:

• Load, transport, and deliver food and other products to clients in a safe manner
• Ensure accuracy of delivery items
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
• Provide excellent customer service

*As of November 15, 2021, Feed More will expect all employees and volunteers to establish that they have been fully vaccinated or provide a negative COVID-19 test each week prior to their volunteer shift. The process will be explained in more detail once your volunteer application is approved. For purposes of this policy, volunteers are considered vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose of a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna), or one dose of a single-dose vaccination (Janssen/J&J). A negative test must be done through your doctor’s office or testing facility to confirm the date that the test was preformed (new tests needed weekly).
