Join us for our Outdoor Volunteer Day from 9am to 12pm at Alta Vicente Reserve! We will be working to remove invasive weeds which degrade important wildlife habitat and will be replacing them with native, drought tolerant plants!

Please meet us at the Alta Vicente trailhead next to St Paul's Lutheran Church at 31290 Palos Verdes Dr W, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 and 33°44'48.7"N 118°24'22.9"W. Please do not park in the church parking lot. Park on the street. Extra parking can be found in Golden Cove Shopping Center.
We will be working outdoors, so please wear closed-toed shoes, sun protection, bug spray and be sure to bring drinking water and a snack. A reusable water bottle is recommended. Please also be prepared for mildly strenuous hiking to reach volunteer locations. There may be uphill conditions depending on the work project. Thank you for volunteering to conserve the Palos Verdes Peninsula!

The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."
Description
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
