For the impact-driven professional interested in skills-based volunteering, NYPACE offers the opportunity to work directly with a local entrepreneur to help solve their business challenges through a cohort-driven program with other like-minded professionals.

Use your skillset to deliver meaningful results for local small businesses owners over the course of an 8-week or 1-day project. You'll join a growing network of hundreds of volunteers spanning many of the leading firms across industries in New York. Projects average 2.5 hours/week for the 8-week project and 3 hours for the 1-day opportunity and are fully virtual.

You would make a great advisor if you

  • Are comfortable with ambiguity
  • Want to make an immediate impact in the local small business community
  • Know how to ask good questions
  • Have a high EQ
  • Have strong research skills
  • Are able to commit 2.5 hours a week for 8 weeks
  • Have expertise in at least one of the following skills: Finance & Budget, Marketing & Communications, Business Development, Strategic Planning & Analysis, and/or Operations & HR
  • Know that the best teams work because the people trust each other

By promoting meaningful connections between our volunteers and entrepreneurs, we are building both a brighter and more equitable small business ecosystem and a more purposeful and engaged corporate environment.

Description

For the impact-driven professional interested in skills-based volunteering, NYPACE offers the opportunity to work directly with under-served, local entrepreneurs to help solve their business challenges through a cohort-driven program. Our services include 8-week cohort-driven programs with project-specific deliverables, peer networking opportunities, topical business workshops, and 1-day entrepreneur "sprints". All NYPACE programs focus on four essential areas of business growth and resiliency:

  • Financial literacy and planning
  • Strategic planning
  • Operations
  • Marketing and customer relations

We know there are many places to donate your time and talent, so we thank you for considering NYPACE. We are a unique program because our pro bono projects are highly bespoke, fast paced and high impact. Our entrepreneurs are referred to us by program partners and go through a rigorous application process in order to meet you.
