Mission Statement
To encourage the improvement of agriculture, horticulture, and the mechanical arts through the holding of an annual fair, supporting educational programs and providing scholarships and grants to promote such improvements.
Description
The Agricultural Society of Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties has sponsored the Long Island Fair since 1842. The annual harvest fair, cosponsored with Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums, is held on the fairgrounds of Old Bethpage Village Restoration.
