Community Outreach Coordinator

At Creative Emajinations, every youth will have the opportunity to explore their imagination without limitations, which will enable for them to reach their full potential through the art of music and dance.

We exist to provide a welcoming and safe gathering place where youth are free to learn and explore movement and self-expression through the in performing arts. We accomplish this by partnering with skilled performing arts volunteers who commit to sharing their knowledge of dance, vocal instruction, and music recording in both its physical form and its historical context.

About the role

The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the planning/implementation of outreach strategies. This role creates sponsorship agreements and cultivating relationships with businesses, individuals, and partner organizations. This individual will oversee fundraising and creating relationships with donors. This position will report to the Director of Community Engagement and will require a time commitment of up to 4 hours, typically 1 day/week.

Duties and Responsibilities

• In charge of fundraising and fostering strategic relationships with new & existing donors
• Works closely with the leadership team to strategize ways to spread awareness about the organization while also helping the community
• Organizes outreach events, press releases, brochures, social media, and email campaigns
• Collects data and information to focus on donors, events, and venues to benefit the org
• Leads projects and supports program events with the rest of the team

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

• Strong organizational and leadership skills

• Good reporting, technical, and statistical skills

• Experience with budget management
