Qualifications
* Understands and supports the Hospice philosophy * Compassionate person who is respectful of people's different lifestyles * Must have a valid Driver License with an insured automobile in good working condition, if making patient visits * The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing (Foreign Languages encouraged) * Must be able to pass a Background Check Responsibilities * Volunteers are part of a patient’s care team
* They make home visits to offer companionship for patients and relief for caregivers/family members
* Examples of patient care volunteer opportunities include light yard work, meal prep, reading to the patient, assisting with a hobby, attentive listening, running errands, or grocery shopping
