Teach a Reuse or Repair Class
ORGANIZATION: EAST BAY DEPOT OF BAY AREA CREATIVE RE-USE INC
Please visit the new page to apply.
Do you have a skill in creating art from reclaimed materials or repairing common household items? Would you like to share your knowledge with the community?
The East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse is launching a new community studio space called Re:Studio, and we're looking for volunteer teachers to lead workshops! Whether you are a professional or an accomplished dabbler in jewelry making, clothes mending, appliance repair, paper arts, textile arts, furniture restoration, or something we haven't even thought of, we can use your expertise!
Your work will help us educate our local community in how to extend the life of consumer goods or transform discarded materials into something useful and/or beautiful. You may utilize reused materials from our store or bring your own. We have a variety of tools available and can collect more based on teachers' needs.
One-time classes or ongoing series are welcome. Workshops can be held Monday or Friday evenings or Saturday/Sunday mornings/afternoons -- we can work with your schedule.
If interested in teaching a class, please complete our volunteer application form and you will be contacted soon: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1eife5-go2Pg4uCnwR1SbQIhY6NDVyrVfnIHd3YfERrU/edit#response=ACYDBNh0qwNVjbMMOizQH9HfCzLMxLmDo_-Mz3Fo8W9XX_UZGLFGZcudiSaboTFqUjB4VDM
