Would you like to help Care Experienced children engage in activities to build their skills and confidence and engage in their local community? The Participation Support Volunteer role will assist in providing and supporting activities for children aged 8 and under.

This role will involve interacting with children aged 8 and under through supporting and leading on a variety of activities e.g. arts/crafts/sports/general youth work at our monthly sessions as well as at our National events that happen throughout the year.

What will I be doing?

  • Supporting staff to undertake activities
  • Leading on activities
  • Supporting children’s sense of belonging and connection
  • Helping children to have fun
  • Building children’s confidence and self esteem
  • Being a positive role model

What skills can I bring to this role?

  • Experience of working with children (Not essential)
  • A knowledge of issues affecting Care Experienced children
  • Ability to work well with children
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Ability to encourage and motivate children to participate in activities


You do not need to be Care Experienced for this role, but we are as always interested to hear from applicants with Care Experience.
