Are you a woman* of color working in a STEM field with a passion for increasing equity in STEM? Volunteer with SPIN Girls!
SPIN Girls is a STEM program for 8th-10th grade girls* of color in King County. Mentors provide SPIN Girls with valuable support & resources to help guide their journey in STEM. They are responsible for mentoring 1-3 students by participating in monthly Lab & Field Days, providing a job shadow opportunity, and connecting with mentees outside of official events.
Your role as a mentor can have a significant impact on our girls of color in a variety of personal, academic, and professional situations. You can serve as a connection for a young person to personal growth and development as well as social and economic opportunity. And when we make this investment in young women, the ripples of those investments are seen for generations.
