Kirkwood Historical Society - Call for Key Volunteers
Kirkwood Historical Society (KWHS) is seeking Key Volunteers. Key Volunteers are critical to the success of KWHS and will provide management, service, consultation and advice in the Internal and External Affairs of the Society and Mudd’s Grove. If you are passionate about Kirkwood, History, Architectural Preservation, Fundraising, Community Engagement or Technology, we have opportunities for you to engage with an active and vibrant Board. This is not a search for Episodic volunteers (one-time event based).
The Development Sub-Committee is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the solicitation of long-and short-term funds for endowment, capital, and operating purposes and recommends policies to the board relating thereto. The Development Committee is also responsible for writing grants for special funding.

Description
The Kirkwood Historical Society is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization that preserves and promotes Kirkwood’s long and storied history. It was organized in 1961 and received its 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service in July 1963. The society makes its headquarters in Mudd’s Grove, a 163 year-old house located in the heart of Kirkwood.
