Kirkwood Historical Society - Call for Key Volunteers
Kirkwood Historical Society (KWHS) is seeking Key Volunteers. Key Volunteers are critical to the success of KWHS and will provide management, service, consultation and advice to the Internal and External Affairs of the Society and Mudd’s Grove. If you are passionate about Kirkwood, History, Architectural Preservation, Fundraising, Community Engagement or Technology, we have opportunities for you to engage with an active and vibrant Board. This is not a search for Episodic volunteers (one-time event based).
The Social Media Sub-Committee is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating the Society’s social media content on all platforms. This includes, but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, NextDoor, the Kirkwood Arts Calendar and The Kirkwood-Des Peres Chamber Calender. The Committee abides by all copyright and fair-use laws of the United States and fairly credits and obtains any necessary permissions from all sources to the best of its ability.

Description
The Kirkwood Historical Society is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization that preserves and promotes Kirkwood’s long and storied history. It was organized in 1961 and received its 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service in July 1963. The society makes its headquarters in Mudd’s Grove, a 163 year-old house located in the heart of Kirkwood.
