Kirkwood Historical Society - Call for Key Volunteers
Kirkwood Historical Society (KWHS) is seeking Key Volunteers. Key Volunteers are critical to the success of KWHS and will provide service, management, consultation and advice to the Internal and External Affairs of the Society and Mudd’s Grove. If you are passionate about Kirkwood, History, Architectural Preservation, Fundraising, Community Engagement or Technology, we have opportunities for you to engage with an active and vibrant Board. This is not a search for Episodic volunteers (one-time event based).
The Museum Curator Sub-Committee advises the Board on matters of collection policy and collection care of all the artifacts maintained by the Society. It periodically reviews the Collection Policy. It makes recommendations, for Board approval, on the accessioning, exchange, purchase, and de-accessioning of significant collection objects as per the Collections Policy and implements the Board’s decisions. It creates a collections plan to guide the content, to fill gaps, and to expand the collections so they reinforce the interpretive and research functions.
