Kirkwood Historical Society - Call for Key Volunteers
Kirkwood Historical Society (KWHS) is seeking Key Volunteers. Key Volunteers are critical to the success of KWHS and will provide management, service, consultation and advice in the Internal and External Affairs of the Society and Mudd’s Grove. If you are passionate about Kirkwood, History, Architectural Preservation, Fundraising, Community Engagement or Technology, we have opportunities for you to engage with an active and vibrant Board. This is not a search for Episodic volunteers (one-time event based).
The Finance Sub-Committee is responsible for managing all aspects of the Society’s finances, including preparing the annual budget and establishing fiscal controls and investment management as they deem appropriate for the Society subject to the approval of the Board of Directors. The Treasurer is an ex-officio member of the Finance Committee and oversees the work of the Assistant Treasurer.

Description
The Kirkwood Historical Society is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization that preserves and promotes Kirkwood’s long and storied history. It was organized in 1961 and received its 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service in July 1963. The society makes its headquarters in Mudd’s Grove, a 163 year-old house located in the heart of Kirkwood.
