*We are now recruiting for our Winter 2023 training. Training courses to begin in January 2023*

Doorways is an Arlington-based non-profit agency helping individuals and families create pathways out of homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault leading to safe, stable and empowered lives. We envision a community where all people live free of violence and have safe and stable housing regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, age, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, abilities, language, or national origin. We see a future without homelessness or domestic and sexual violence.

We are seeking individuals to act as Hospital Accompaniment Response Program (HARP) Volunteers to respond to the hospital to support survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Volunteers are on-call for 12 hour shifts, weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Volunteers must be available to report to INOVA Fairfax Hospital within 30-40 driving minutes of receiving the call (the hospital is not metro accessible). Volunteers are required to take at least two shifts per month.

Volunteers must complete 40 hours of training in person and submit background checks. Training class begins in January 2023. One year commitment required.
