We participate in We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Veteran volunteers play an important role serving our hospice patients who served our country. Given their unique experiences, sacrifices and training, there is a special bond among veterans. They share a common culture and language. Veteran volunteers are a critical part of showing gratitude for our nation’s heroes and bringing closure to them near the end of their lives.
If you would like to learn more about some of these many unique opportunities, please reach out through email and we will be in touch soon. Our volunteers are part of our team and have always been an essential service that is greatly appreciated by not only patients and families, but our team.
Due to COVID, we require all volunteers to be vaccinated for COVID and to wear a mask and eye protection when with patients/families.
