Attend 4 in person trainings on Saturdays from August 27th-September 24th (except September 17th)at Columbia State Historic Park plus supplemental virtual trainings and you can become a docent and teach the public about CA gold rush history. Activities that docents participate in have included: working in the museum, leading town tours, presenting school programs, and special events including: Stories in Stone, Lamplight, Big Band Street Dance, Gold Trek, Diggins, Gold Rush Days every Saturday, Boo Blvd, a Miner's Christmas, Histories Mysteries and so much more! If you are looking for an opportunity to give back to your community & love history, this program is for you. Description
To provide visitors of Columbia State Historic Park with a quality interpretive experience on a regular basis by participating in interpretive living history programs, assisting with special events, staffing the museum and leading guided walks and talks.
