At ProMedica Hospice, we take our mission of providing the very best care to our patients and families with increased bedside presence, being with the patient and family when they need us, and anticipating changes in care and education along with way very seriously. We are always exploring creative opportunities that will reduce the stress which end of life care can sometimes bring.
Led by our ProMedica Hospice Volunteer Department, our Tuck-in-Program is designed to ensure that each of of our patients, families, and caregivers receive a friendly call once a week. A specially trained volunteer will receive instructions on how to structure your calls.
Our Tuck-in Program is designed to ensure that each our patients, and families, and caregivers receive a friendly call. The purpose of this program is anticipate needs of our patients, and families will receive anxiety that you might have regarding medications, supplies, or equipment required over a weekend.
This is a great way for volunteers who desire indirect contact with our patients, and families whom we serve.
If you can donate a little time to make sure are patients are comfortable, contact our Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Kathleen OConnor. She can be reached through either phone (610-266-0134) or email kathleen.oconnor@heartlandhospice.com
