Homeless Children's Education Fund (HCEF) is seeking volunteers with experience working with children to assist with our Mobile Learning Program. HCEF's Mobile Learning is an innovative new program that brings regular, individualized tutoring sessions directly to unstably housed students at their current place of residence. This is a great opportunity to build kids' strengths and confidence by helping our instructors deliver a variety of fun, creative educational activities.
Volunteers will travel to meet HCEF instructors at a place accessible to an enrolled K-8th grade student, then help instructors deliver fun, individualized lessons to the student. We need volunteers who can regularly commit to at least one 1-2 hour session per week. Currently, we have volunteer openings on the following days/times:
- Wednesdays from 1 PM to 3 PM (multiple students)
- Thursdays from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM (1 student)
