Description: YesLiberia is seeking a volunteer to help create annual or quarterly impact reports for the organization. This is NOT a technical role, and no coding and SQL or data analysis is expected. An impact reports' primary purpose is to showcase an organization's impact. Complete with graphics and photos, this impact report will highlight YesLiberia’s progress and quantify the impact of our campaigns, initiatives, programs, or services. In this role, you will have conversations with team leaders, operations manager, program manager, and some board members to write a compelling impact report that could help internal and external readers make informed decisions for support. Your written and published impact reports will be used to convince new supporters, update existing partners and supporters, and help inform internal staff about progress made and existing challenges.
Responsibilities:
Create compelling and professional impact reports for YesLiberia
Help create a process for capturing information needed for creating Impact Reports, Strategic Plans, or Program Designs, or Sponsor Packages
Work with management to prioritize information needed for operations, fundraising, partnerships, and granting writing
Gather stories, outcomes, costs, and challenges for the report
Define and suggest new process improvement opportunities for creating professional Impact Reports or Program Design Documents
Requirements:
MUST have proven experience creating Impact Reports, Strategic Plans, or Program Designs, or Sponsor Packages
Strong writing and planning skills with the ability to collect, organize, and summarize various information with attention to detail and accuracy
Previous experience in NGO/Charity Program Monitoring and Evaluation or Program Manager is preferred, not required
Expertise in better storytelling for engagement
Strong knowledge of and experience writing compelling content for readers’ support
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Great time management and organizational skills

Conviction created YesLiberia. Daily the needs of underprivileged are ignored. We ignore their struggles because it’s easier to deal with the more important things in our lives-- like climbing the corporate ladder and saving money so we don’t become indigent. And some of us ignore their challenges because they bring back unpleasant memories we seek to repress. But disregarding the plight of the underprivileged yields no resolution. Then certain things happen to remind us their struggles exist no matter how hard we try to pretend our needs surpass theirs.
Jallah was convicted by several of those things over a short period of time. The prostitution of children in Thailand reminded him of Liberia. The rape and war in Congo reminded him of Liberia. The genocide in Rwanda reminded him of Liberia. He remembered his underprivileged past--a past where he was seen as less than elite based on his tribal and economic status and where his education came as a gift from the United Methodist Church.
Reminded, he became convicted to act and YesLiberia was founded to educate and help underprivileged Liberians whose plight he intimately understood.
YesLiberia is a 501c3 charity organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service since July 2009. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law. YesLiberia is also registered at four government agencies in Liberia.
