Come join our wonderful team of volunteers. Work directly with patients and their families, offering support, companionship and encouragement. At our facilities you can visit with many patients. Volunteers are needed in Elizabeth, Scotch Plains and in homes within Union County. Looking for kind hearts with time to give. This is so rewarding and extremely necessary.

Description

The Center For Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Volunteer Program is one of vitality, dedication, and the opportunity to meet new and interesting people and challenges. Even a person with a minimal amount of free time can enjoy the rewards of volunteering.

The variety of service programs offered through the Center For Hope Hospice & Palliative Care allow each volunteer to select his or her area of interest or talent. Volunteers in all areas of service are greatly needed and greatly appreciated. Various areas are companionship, office assistance, special events, our resale shop in Westfield, pet therapy, music, reiki. You are welcome to make suggestions based on your interests as well.

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • The days/ times are entirely up to you. The flexibility of when you visit and for how long is the beauty of being a volunteer. We ask for a commitment of a few hours a month for a minimum of 3 months.
  • Volunteers must have covid vaccine and be 18yrs of age. A background check is required. Online training courses to be done remotely.
