Volunteers will be escorting visitors, answering phones and transferring calls, and issuing visitor passes when necessary. They will provide assistance to individuals that require support to locate their initial destination. Volunteers are responsible for identifying specific visitor information issues and seek or suggest appropriate solutions. It is expected that an Information Desk volunteer smiles, greets, and makes eye contact with every entering guest and staff in a gracious and professional manner. You are an ambassador for the hospital and are here to provide excellent customer service.

Current TB tests are required and provided by the hospital at no cost to the volunteer. Each volunteer is required to attend an interview and orientation, usually held on the first Monday of each month. Volunteers are also required to purchase a uniform for $25. Parking is free, along with computer classes and a multitude of other benefits. For more information contact Pamela Wegner, Director of Volunteer Services, at (818) 496-4613.
