Social Media Team Member

Central Jersey Animal Rescue is seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, detail-oriented person to join our team and help with Social Media planning and posting. The volunteer in this position will be responsible for creating and planning social media posts and campaigns, as well as assisting with developing a social media strategy and analyzing statistics to track engagement and trends with social media followers. Currently CJAR is present on Facebook and Instagram and we are looking to expand to LinkedIn and possibly YouTube and Twitter

Is this position for you?

  • Have your own computer and are good with creating engaging social media posts, some of which will be to solicit donations.
  • Knowledge of the Facebook and Instagram platforms, including Business Suite.
  • A plus is Knowledge of LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube
  • Experienced in creating Reels
  • Like interacting with people.
  • Have good planning skills.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, detail-oriented and able working on your own and with the group
  • Care about animals and interested in humane solutions

Responsibilities

  • Manage our Facebook and Instagram presence by creating engaging and relevant posts, including posts about fosters and events.
  • Set up a Facebook calendar with daily posts
  • Create engaging Reels
  • Develop campaigns for Facebook and Instagram to engage our followers and generate donations.
  • Provide usage statistics to the Board of Directors
  • Help us to expand to other social media platforms, specifically, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.

CJAR is a non-profit, all-volunteer animal welfare organization. We are relatively new, and we are looking to grow our organization.
