Recruiting Organization: AmeriCorps VISTA University of Central Arkansas

The VISTA will work with Milestones Services to build capacity in the crucial areas of grant writing and fundraising, volunteer management, and program development. This VISTA’s key objectives will include building infrastructure for increasing grants and private funding, including building a donor database and creating a donor stewardship plan; creating a volunteer management plan, including formal processes for recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers; and supporting program development of school readiness programs by classroom teachers. The VISTA member will fight poverty by developing volunteer-based programs to improve child education resources for the Faulkner County area. And those actions will connect impoverished populations to community resources so that citizens can enjoy an improved quality of life.
