Haven For Hero’s is an IRS approved Non Profit that provides affordable housing solutions to homeless and at risk veterans and family
We’re Looking to add a Program Assistant to our team.
Here are some of the benefits our volunteers enjoy:
Work from Home. This is a 100% remote position unless you prefer to come in occasionally.

We’re looking for someone:
- Able to make calls outbound calls, send emails, update database and calendar, and meet with sponsors, donors
- Fast independent learner
- Good with technology
- Available to volunteer at least 10-15 hours a week
- Is professional (you promptly return calls and emails, have a quiet dedicated home or other office space, etc. (and can keep your word when it comes to meeting deadlines
- Can pass a background and drug test
- Has a pleasant speaking voice and does not mind speaking with clients

Our mission is to eliminate veteran homelessness by providing housing solutions and services that will empower and impact the lives of homeless and low income veterans and their families.
Description
Haven for Hero's Inc is a nonprofit organization, organized and operated by veterans exclusively to improve the lives of veterans and their families by providing housing solutions and a pathway to homeownership for homeless and low-income veterans.
Founded by Barzel and Brenda McKinney,(retired army veterans) the organization was conceived and organized to address the lack of housing and outreach support to disadvantaged veterans and their families.
Our organization is currently seeking funding to increase our organizational capacity through the acquisition of capital funding for acquisition and renovation of homes to be used to accommodate veterans and their families.
