No experience is necessary to bring the lessons of the Holocaust to life. Help visitors understand the dangers of prejudice, discrimination and racism.

Monthly Training is provided to docents and greeters to introduce the goals of the Exhibit to lead scheduled school groups (5th grade and above) through the exhibit . Volunteers are needed Tuesday-Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday -Sunday 12- 4 pm. Each group tour is approximately 11/2 to 2 hours and a once month commitment is required.

Mission Statement

The Georgia Commission on the Holocaust sponsors the Anne Frank in theWorld Exhibit. The mission is to use the lessons of the Holocaust to raise cultural awareness, to promote acceptance of diversity in hope to eradicate hatred and prejudice, and to provide quality Holocaust and Diversity Education programs for teachers and students of Georgia's schools as well as for to the general public throughout the State of Georgia.

Description

The Exhibit has is the internationally acclaimed photographic exhibition: Anne Frank in the World 1929-1945 of over 600 compelling photos and textual explanations to create a clear perspective of the historic timeline surrounding not only the life of Anne Frank and her family, but also of those who were persecuted because of the evil of the Nazis during World War 11. There is also a 29 minute video on "THe Life of Anne Frank."

The William A Scott 111 Exhibit is a photographic essay of one of Atlanta's leading African-American citizens. He was a tireless civil rights leader, businessman, photojournalist and a witnes to the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp
