West Seattle Food Bank (WSFB) Clothesline Opportunity

Help! We need volunteers to make free clothing more accessible for our Spanish- and Vietnamese-speaking community.

WSFB is looking for volunteers who speak Spanish or Vietnamese at our clothing bank (the Clothesline, 4425 41 st Ave SW). Volunteers are needed weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 am - 1 pm. Proof of vaccination and masking is required. Volunteer responsibilities include:

    • Assist people in finding clothes, styles, and sizes

    • Stock the store with high-need items

    • Process incoming donations

The Clothesline provides new and like-new clothing, hygiene products, bedding, and more to thousands of people a year. The need for free clothing is urgent: March and April of 2022 were the busiest months in Clothesline history. COVID continues to disproportionately impact immigrant and refugee families and there has been a resulting increase in requests for clothing assistance in Spanish and Vietnamese.

Do you speak Spanish or Vietnamese? Are you looking for regular, weekly opportunities in West Seattle? Do you want to help build towards a strong, connected community where everyone can access the resources they need? Get involved now!

Contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Jesica Silva (jesica@westseattlefoodbank.org) or click here to contact Jesica.

All Volunteer must by fully vaccinted agasint COVID-19.
