Hospitality Volunteer

The 20th anniversary edition of the New York Asian Film Festival is looking for team members to join one of its most essential positions. The hospitality department is in charge of transporting the festival’s esteemed guests to and from airports, hotels, and the festival’s venues.

Hospitality team members are needed for the festival’s 2022 season from July 12th till July 31th. Potential candidates must have much availability between 9am and 6pm, and familiarity with any asian languages is a plus.

Key responsibilities
  • Organizing timely airport and hotel pick up and drop offs, escorting guests to and from the venue with rideshare services.
  • Satisfying the needs of festival guests and helping them check into hotels.
  • Coordinating and communicating with the rest of the hospitality team.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings, must arrive on time.
  • Full vaccination (incl. booster) against COVID-19.
Skills
  • High code of conduct. Hospitality team members are first and foremost representatives of the festival.
  • Professionalism. Festival has a zero tolerance policy towards bothering the guests with attempted networking or any other unprofessional behavior.
  • Comfort and experience with mobile apps and communicating through mobile phones.
  • Familiarity with other asian languages is a plus, especially Japanese, Korean, and Cantonese.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
