Become a Garden Docent. Learn about the Gardens as you participate in greeting, youth education or any number of other volunteer opportunities. Once you have completed 6 months volunteering and Docent training, you will be a full fledged Docent. At that point you may lead tours, or be a greeter-on-the-go as well as maintain a greeter shift.
We do require volunteers to be fully vaccinated for COVID.

Mission Statement
The Tucson Botanical Gardens connects people with plants and nature through art, science, history and culture.
Description
Tucson Botanical Gardens is a historical property in the heart of Tucson. Rutger and Bernice Porter bought the property in the early 1930s. Together they were committed to creating Gardens that were both aesthetically beautiful and of educational value.
Bernice Porter donated the property, envisioning it as a community resource for learners of all ages, knowledge levels and abilities - a center where one could learn about plants, gardening and nature. TBG strives to honor the Porter legacy.
