ORGANIZATION: Hospice of Evangelical

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Are you searching for a volunteer experience that is gratifying and emotionally meaningful? Hospice of Evangelical has the opportunity you’re seeking and all the training you need! No healthcare experience needed - just a caring heart and time to fill lives with hope and joy.

The Hospice of Evangelical Team has specially trained, caring volunteers working alongside staff providing friendly visits, vigil care for families, patient care, as well as bereavement support to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness. Certified pet therapy and music support volunteers are always welcome. There are also volunteer opportunities for office support.

Volunteers visit area nursing and assisted living facilities, in-home patients, or work at the Hospice office.

About Hospice of Evangelical

One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837, US

Mission Statement

As an extension of Evangelical Community Hospital, Hospice of Evangelical is dedicated to providing the home, facility and community-based end of life care needs to residents of the Central Susquehanna Valley. While providing cost-effective quality care, the agency will continue to seek opportunities to meet the ongoing needs of our community.

Hospice of Evangelical is helping patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families make the most of the time they have together. Hospice is a philosphy of care that helps patients become more comfortable by providing pain and symptom management, as well as spiritual and emotional support, while allowing them to remain in a familiar environement.
