ORGANIZATION: Hummingbird Haven, Inc.

Hummingbird Haven is a 501(c)(3) organization. We offer one-on-one and group instruction and talks on dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Secondary Traumatic Stress Disorder (STSD) for families and loved ones.

Our goal is to create a community of support through life coaching, therapy, yoga, meditation, access to wraparound services, learning and sharing with one another - allowing Veterans and their families to live a better life and work toward greater independence. We also offer group and personal retreats.

We are a new organization and are looking for people willing to build capacity. We are currently looking to fill our board with members who have a background in

  • Accounting/Finance
  • Marketing and Communications.
  • Law
  • Psychology / Licensed Therapy
  • Donor Management
  • Grant Writing
  • Administration / Secretary
We need people who will be passionate about the work of Hummingbird Haven. That passion also needs to be tempered by the ability to pause and reflect. Instead of rushing to get things done quickly, they must be focused on getting things done properly. They must encourage introspection and thoughtfulness and work well with the other Board Members.
