About The MomBAE Movement, Inc

Location:

800 Battery Ave Ste 100, Atlanta, GA 30339, US

Mission Statement

The MomBAE Movement, Inc's mission is to work with our communities and partners to improve black maternal health, and impacting affected communities by providing advocacy, resources and opportunities.

Description

At The MomBAE Movement Inc, we are a fun and energetic team that is passionate about our country providing fair and equal maternal health care to all. Every day we strive to ensure that mothers have the resources and opportunities to safely bring their babies into the world in a society where our maternal mortality rates are one of the highest of a developed country in the world.

At MomBAE we tackle the serious stuff, but we also have fun helping mamas see life outside of being a mother. Often times mothers can have a hard time balancing mom life and their own personal goals which can lead to them feeling "lost" and takes a severe toll on their mental health. We love having events in the Metro Atlanta area with moms just to have fun and we also offer a lot of virtual opportunities and events for mothers to better themselves.

Current Initiatives:
Big Doula Energy
Objectives

  • TO EDUCATE OUR COMMUNITY ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF THE MOTHER/DOULA RELATIONSHIP AS WELL AS THE VALUE OF HAVING A DOULA
  • TO INCREASE THE REACH OF THE DOULAS’ NETWORK
  • TO CURATE A NETWORK OF BLACK AND BROWN MATERNAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS TO NORMALIZE BLACK PREGNANT WOMEN SEEKING THE CARE OF A CULTURALLY COMPETENT BIRTH WORKER DURING PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM
