Various Saturdays throughout the Summer, not every Saturday.

In partnership with the City of Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department, the Free Movie Series features a full-length movie in different parks around town. Movies will be presented on Saturday nights throughout the summer and we would like to find a few people passionate about movies and tech to help out!
Each week you can enjoy a classic or contemporary feature film. Movies start at sundown and many offer special entertainment prior to the feature film. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the movie!
Help set up and tear down for the Free Movie Series while being able to enjoy the films! All volunteers must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. Volunteers will move equipment, distribute information, bag popcorn, and must stay for the entire movie to help with tear down. Please be advised to bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the movie!

Description
Summer of the Arts is a local non-profit organization that works to produce and create a year filled with arts and cultural entertainment in the Iowa City Area. Our festivals and events include: the Iowa Arts Festival, Iowa City Jazz Festival, Friday Night Concert Series, Free Movie Series, the Soul & Blues Festival, and the Holiday Thieves Market.
In addition to individual volunteer opportunities, we also encourage group volunteering, which is a fantastic team building exercise and a positive way to represent your group in the community. Head over to the Volunteer information page on our website to fill out the Group Volunteer Interest Form!
