Please read through the brief descriptions of ECAC's Refugee Resettlement programs and become a Refugee Resettlement Program Volunteer. If you do not have an area of replacement, you will consult with our volunteer coordinator for the placement.

To apply, click 'I Want to Help' button to notify the volunteer coordinator with your area of interest (optional). You could also end your area of interest and resume (optional) to Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@ecachicago.org, or simply fill out the google form https://forms.gle/hctR1gVcpkQYJakX9

  • Reception & Placement

The R&P Program provides refugees a chance to build new lives in the United States. The program includes a reception at the airport, placement in affordable housing, cultural orientation, language referrals, employment, health education, and general care.

  • Preferred Communities
The PC program provides support for refugees with special needs who require intensive case management to promote self-sufficiency. Volunteers will assist clients with PC case managers.

  • Matching Grant

The MG Program is intensive case management and employment placement program. It helps refugee and asylee clients get on the fast track to financial independence. In the MG program, volunteers will assist the MG case manager.

  • Employment Case Management

The ECM program provides case management and employment service for newly arrived refugees and others who meet the eligibility period. Volunteers will assist clients in developing their skills for employment by resume building, job readiness training, and referrals. Volunteers more interested in office assisting could also assist employment case managers by organizing and labeling files.
