Our program is designed to be a fusion between educational activities to help reduce learning loss over the summer, and fun camp activities to support recovery from pandemic isolation and trauma and rebuild critical social and emotional skills and promote physical activity.
This will be accomplished through weekly subject offerings and helping each camper complete their summer reading list. Learning activities will take place in the morning 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (weekly subject schedule below), Monday through Thursday starting Tuesday, July 5th through Thursday, August 18th.
Each week, we will work on educational activities as outlined in the list/schedule below. The subjects are the complete list of offerings, but the week in which they are offered is flexible.
Week of July 4: Reading/Language Arts (use their summer reading lists)
Week of July 11: Black History in New Haven
Week of July 18: Visual Arts
Week of July 25: Science
Week of August 1: Math
Week of August 8: World Geography
Week of August 15: Drama & Music
