  • Docent - guiding our tours with knowledge and in costume.
  • Gardening - 1+ acre of property that would love your green thumb.
  • Housekeeping - nearly 5,000 square feet to be tended to
  • General maintenance - the house is nearly 150 years old.
  • Educational efforts - educating our community is very important to us.

Mission Statement

The Lawndale mission is to preserve the H.S. Williams homestead property known as the Lawndale Museum and open it to the public as a living history educational site depicting what it was like to live in Brevard County in the late 1800's.

Description

Our organization was created in 2000 for the purposes of saving a historic home that was built in 1880 from destruction. We are an all volunteer organization that maintains the Lawndale Museum and conducts museum tour operations.
