New Jersey Student Climate Advocates (NJSCA) : A coalition of high school, college, and
graduate students from across NJ (mostly in Northern/Central Jersey; we work via Zoom). We seek
to make space for justice in mainstream climate policy efforts, working together with communities
to develop policy and other grassroots initiatives, all while advocating for an equitable and sustainable future.
We're currently working on a team wide EJ x NUTRITION project of exploring how we can help educate the broader public on existing environmental justice research/advocacy and the overlap between food insecurity and environmental justice in NJ! We plan to research issues pertaining to food/health issues in underserved communities and outreach to collaborate with current organizations working on mitigating said issues.
This would be our team wide project!
