First Call Hospice provides Hospice home care services, as well as inpatient services at contracted facilities. First Call Hospice is Medicare/Medical certified and is licensed by the state of California as a Hospice which contracts with other health care facilities and agencies for inpatient type services.
Hospice care is offered to clients in their private homes, residential care facilities, and to those in skilled nursing facilities with whom a valid contract is in place.
Hospice care has evolved as a result of the desire of terminally ill patients and their families to live life until death with dignity, and with the highest level of comfort possible for body, mind and spirit.
The purpose of our Hospice program and its services is to assist clients, both the terminally ill person and the family, in this process.
First Call Hospice is looking for volunteers who would like to provide companionship visits on a weekly basis.
Training is provided.
