Lincoln Terrace Park Cats is a volunteer group that rescues and adopts out homeless cats from the streets of Brooklyn. Fostering is an absolutely vital part of our rescue work. We need loving homes for our cats while we work to find permanent placement for them. Veterinary care and any needed medical supplies will be provided by us.

If you would like to get involved with our mission, please complete our foster application, found on our website: https://www.lincolnterraceparkcats.com/foster

Mission Statement

The organization is formed to provide humane and compassionate care to homeless cats through rescue, adoption, spay/neuter and colony management.

Description

Lincoln Terrace Park Cats (LTPC) is a Brooklyn-based cat rescue group founded in 2019 by Michelle Marwitz. After years of living in the Crown Heights/Brownsville area near Lincoln Terrace Park and not knowing how to help all the homeless cats, Michelle took a course with Neighborhood Cats and became TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) certified in 2018. She partnered with other larger rescues to get as many cats fixed and off the street as possible, but wanted to do more to focus specifically on the cats in her neighborhood. Today, she and other volunteers work to feed and care for the likely hundreds of cats in the area. LTPC is a hyper-local, all volunteer group who work tirelessly to make a difference for cats living on the harsh city streets. LTPC finds loving homes for friendly abandoned cats and works to provide veterinary care for feral cats who cannot be placed in homes. Neighborhood cats are provided fresh food and water daily and monitored to ensure their health and safety.
