Each month, A Wider Circle delivers care packages of essential items, such as toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, bars of soap, and cleaning products to our clients. We need drivers to help with delivering these items for two days each month. If you are interested in helping, email us at Volunteer@awidercircle.org for the signup link.
On the morning that you signed up for, you will meet our staff at our satellite offices in Silver Spring (9141 Brookville Road) to pick up the packages and then drive to Southeast DC to drop them off at the homes of the residents. We ask that you bring another individual to ride with you in pairs whether they are family members or friends.

Description
A Wider Circle is a 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit organization that provides holistic support to families in need. We furnish the homes of children and adults who are transitioning out of domestic violence or homeless shelters, or who are simply living without what most of us take for granted - beds, dressers, sheets, towels, and other basic need items. We offer educational programs on topics ranging from job skills and money management to stress management and other life skills. We also provide wrap-around support to those seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce, including professional attire, education, and one-on-one support. We work with the most vulnerable among us, and we do whatever we can do to help them move toward stability and independence.
