ORGANIZATION: Civil Air Patrol - Los Angeles Cadet Squadron 138

We are seeking adult volunteers (18 years old and over) to work with our Civil Air Patrol Cadets (young men and women ages 12 through 18) in an organized and challenging training program of leadership, aerospace education, physical fitness and character development. As an instructor or mentor, front and center, you directly help shape the life of a young man or women in our community.

Prior military service or Civil Air Patrol experience is helpful, but not required. Civil Air Patrol offers our adult members an extensive education and training program (both in-person and online) to develop the necessary leadership and specialty skills.

Civil Air Patrol - Los Angeles Cadet Squadron 138 provides a quality training program that enhances our members’ leadership skills through an interest in aviation.

Description

Los Angeles Cadet Squadron 138 has proudly served the communities of East and Southeast Los Angeles County since February 1967. We are very proud of our successful training program, serving hundreds of young men and women for the past 55 years.

The squadron meets every Tuesday evening from 6:30-9:30 PM at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, 5631 Rickenbacker Road in Bell.

Every week, Squadron 138 provides a quality training program that enhances our members’ leadership skills through an interest in aviation. This structured, stimulating and well-balanced training program includes leadership, aerospace education, ethics, and physical fitness. An extensive and varied schedule of extracurricular field trips and enrichment activities supplements the weekly training program.
