Mission Statement

Phoenix Hospice’s volunteer program is looking for compassionate, caring members of our communities (Wichita, KS; Overland Park, KS; Springfield, MO; and Independence, MO) who are interested in hospice volunteering. Do you have an interest in spending time with patients? Do you love engaging in a variety of activities or have a favorite one you’d like to share? Would you like to lend a helping hand in our office? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, Phoenix is looking for you! Join Team Phoenix to start serving your community and helping your neighbors!

Hospice provides comfort care and focuses on quality of life. Hospice is a benefit that is available to those who are facing a life-limiting illness. Hospice does not give us the power to shorten or prolong life. Hospice gives us the power to choose how we live.
